sorry for the extended commercial break...

boy, 2 months since the last post, sorry - i am a slacker!

a lot has happened in those two months. let's see...
i can't possibly remember all of it - i am lucky that i remember my name...it's mommy right? i'll do my best.

the house has been decked and un-decked for the holidays. christmas was lovely and surrounded by family. the kids received a lot of board games and star wars stuff, so we've been enjoying a lot of family time with the games and we are surrounded by the sound of lightsabers turning on and off - ahhh...so relaxing. the big new addition to the britton house is a nintendo wii, which has provided hours of entertainment and quite a bit of amusement!

our house has been rearranged yet again. the boys bedroom moved downstairs and they are now enjoying some room to grow! the playroom moved upstairs and mommy is still adjusting to her new "office" space, but it's good. we are trying so hard to make our house work for us, maybe we just need to move. :)

we are really starting to try and be "greener" about things and working really hard to help the kids understand the relationship between consumption and impact, not only for the earth, but for our bodies too. if anyone has some good green tips, please comment! so far we are doing simple things like switching out lightbulbs, changing to better cleaning products as we run out, and really trying hard to make smarter choices about what we eat and buy. (*side note - mommy is even trying to give up her diet pepsi habit!)

sam turned FIVE yesterday! we celebrated with a gourmet dinner of chicken nuggets, apple dippers and fries, cake and a trip to the scottrade center for Disney on Ice (thank you grandma and grandpa!)! i have never seen the show before and it was fantastic! we saw cars, the little mermaid, the lion king, and tinkerbell with her fairy friends. the kids were glued and way into it! we had a WONDERFUL time and created a great memory. sam announced that this was "the best birthday ever!", so it was definitely a hit!

ben is "sevenandahalf" and loving first grade. he has his same girlfriend (attaboy!) even though she's not in his class anymore. ben has a HUGE imagination and is bringing home a lot of stories that he has written and illustrated at school. he is also about to lose his other front tooth.

eli is 1.99 (two on the 17th) and is either more active than his big brothers or mommy is just older. the best word to describe eli is "busy". he is active from the moment his eyes open until the moment they shut. he's talking and repeating everything. his favorite word is "o-kay". he is a bit of a mischief maker too. :)

whew. sorry for the long post, but i guess it's been two months...

hope all of you in blog world are well!

love,
jenn

I know you wrote about so much else... but I just keep thinking "I can't believe he's FIVE!"
