spelling with sam

sam and i were spelling words today. he wanted to spell "mario kart" (as in Wii). i explained to him that "cart" is spelled with a "c" but sometimes people spell it with a "k" instead. he looked at me and said so sincerely "but mom - we've got to go all around the world and tell everyone how to spell it the right way!".

oh to be that innocent and hopeful - that you really could go all around the world and tell everyone how it should be spelled. :)
